Arroyo Grande is a Legal Document Assistant service location, but all LDA work is performed through the Ridgecrest office by Tyler Brewer, Kern County LDA #237. A Legal Document Assistant may prepare documents selected by a self-represented customer using the information and specific direction that customer provides. An LDA cannot give legal advice, select forms, recommend strategy or represent a customer in court.
Clients who do not choose the LDA self-help service path may instead choose paralegal services under the actual direction and supervision of Gene Michael Woo of Woo Law Group, California Attorney #274413. The supervising attorney accepts the legal-services client, establishes the scope of representation, directs and reviews the substantive legal work, controls client engagement and fees, and remains professionally responsible for the representation.
Any attorney-client relationship is with the supervising attorney or supervising law firm—not with By The People Inc.
Availability depends on whether the customer chooses Ridgecrest-performed LDA self-help services or the separate optional supervising-attorney paralegal service path.
The Arroyo Grande location also offers registered and bonded process serving for eligible court papers and legal documents throughout Five Cities and surrounding Central Coast communities.
